CODEX

The Lato is a highly accurate pistol used by the Tenno everywhere. Prime model offers slightly increased damage.

The Lato Prime is the Prime version of the  Lato, featuring higher base damage. The Lato Prime is a Founders-exclusive weapon.

This weapon can be sold for 2,500 Credits 2,500.

Acquisition

In the Global build of the game, the Lato Prime was only available to owners of the Grand Master Founders package that was offered between December 19^th 2012 and November 1^st, 2013.

In the Chinese build, anyone who purchased the 4,250 Platinum bundle during October 28^th 2016 also received the Lato Prime. (See Trivia)

Characteristics

This weapon deals primarily  Slash damage.

Advantages

• High base damage.
  • High  Slash damage – effective against health and shields (although  Puncture and  Impact is much better against the respective damage classes).
• Low recoil.
• High accuracy.
• Very high reload speed.
• Good fire rate.
• Innate and polarity.

Disadvantages

• Low  Impact and  Puncture damage – less effective against shields and armor.

Trivia

The Lato Prime with non-Prime colors as a log-in rewards icon.

• As of Update 10.2 (2013-09-27), all parts of this weapon can be customized.
• At rare times, a Lato Prime with the normal  Lato default colors and without gold trim could be seen as the image for the Secondary Weapons Item XP prize on the daily Login Rewards, replacing the usual image for the reward.
• The Lato Prime bears a resemblance to the real life Derringer pocket pistol.
• Against their agreement with Digital Extremes, Perfect World re-released the Lato Prime as part of a Halloween promotion for the Chinese build of the game. Between October 28^th and October 31^st, 2016, anyone who purchased the 4,250 Platinum bundle also received the Lato Prime, Dullahan Mask,  Lacera,  Constitution, and  Primed Target Cracker. The promotion was modified in the 29^th to give the  Reaper Prime instead.
