The Dual Cleavers are a melee weapon released in Update 8.0 (2013-05-23); single Cleavers replaced the Grineer Butcher's sawblade in the same update.

This weapon can be sold for 5,000 Credits 5,000; it is also a requisite ingredient for  Ripkas.

Characteristics

This weapon deals primarily  Slash damage.

Advantages:

• High  Slash damage – effective against health and shields (although  Puncture and  Impact is much better against the respective damage classes).
• Innate polarity.
• Stance slot has a polarity, matches the Conclave-only  Dividing Blades stance.

Disadvantages:

• Low  Impact and  Puncture damage – less effective against shields and health.
• Tied with  Dual Skana and  Dex Dakra for the slowest attack speed of all Dual Swords.
• Short range.

Trivia

• The Dual Cleavers' glowing blade is believed to stem from a super-heated element in the blade, a trait shared with two other Grineer melee weapons: the  Machete and the  Sheev.
