Concealed Explosives is a mod that gives certain thrown secondary weapons a chance of exploding on impact of a surface or an enemy.

It can be used on the following weapons:

StatsEdit

Rank Proc Chance Cost
0 +20% 6
1 +40% 7
2 +60% 8
3 +80% 9

NotesEdit

  • The explosion deals 250 Blast b Blast damage to the target, as well as to nearby enemies within 10 meters of the blast.
  • Cannot be used on TaserStar Castanas (NLCastanas Sancti), InfProximityStars Pox, and U18throwingknives Talons.
  • The explosions are silent.
  • The explosions will not damage enemies that the point of explosion does not have a line of sight to, whether it is obstructed by walls, objects, or even other enemies or their corpses.
  • The explosions themselves cannot proc Status Effects.
  • The explosion damage is not affected by the Extinguished Dragon Key.

TipsEdit

  • Pair with high-rank Multishot for maximum effect. You will have a 98.56% chance of at least one explosion at max rank with a maxed Mod TT 20pxBarrel Diffusion and Mod TT 20pxLethal Torrent. You will have a 40.96% chance of three explosions.
  • Damage can be increased with Rhino's Roar130xDark Roar.
  • When facing groups of enemies at medium to long range, maximize splash damage by aiming for a nearby wall or floor surface rather than directly at an enemy.
  • If a weapon equipped with this mod is modded for Punch Through, the projectiles will pass through targets up to the listed amount, only being able to detonate afterward.
  • Unlike Mod TT 20pxThunderbolt, MirageIcon272 Mirage's HallOfMirrors130xDark Hall Of Mirrors clones do not deal the full damage of the explosions.
  • Because of their high fire rate and clip size, Hikou Hikou and PrimeHikou Hikou Prime are excellent candidates for this mod. With maxed Barrel Diffusion, Lethal Torrent, and Gunslinger, they can achieve 180% multishot and with a very high fire rate, making 250 damage per shot have excellent DPS.

BugsEdit

  • Concealed Explosives will not cause explosions when an enemy is directly hit with a thrown projectile. Players may get better results from the mod by aiming at the floor near the enemy instead.

Patch HistoryEdit

Update 27.2
Self Damage Changes

We are getting rid of Self Damage and replacing it with something else: instead of Self Damage, it’s now ‘Stagger’. This change completely removes the chance of killing yourself, and instead now creates scenarios where you will interrupt yourself - or ‘Stagger’ - to varying degrees if you aren’t careful.

The degrees of Self-Interrupt start with a small stumble all the way to full knockdown depending on how close you are to the center of explosion. Any Mods referring to Self Damage will be converted to acknowledge Stagger.

With this Self-Interrupt system, we have added dozens of new recovery animations that harness a ninja-like recovery experience. By pressing ‘Jump’ at the correct time, you can execute a ninja-skill-based knockdown recovery to ALL in-game knockdowns. This ninja recovery window is indicated by a glowing FX on your Warframe.

Update 18.0

  • Fixed explosions from the Concealed Explosives Mod damaging Corpus Nullifiers through their bubbles.

Update 17.0

  • Introduced.
