There are currently two comic series set in the WARFRAME universe, almost all of them serving as the prequel to the events of the game itself. While all of the comics released so far have varying authors and artists, all of them have been accredited by the WARFRAME's creative director Steve Sinclair.

- WARFRAME: Ghouls - A five-issue series that serves as a prequel to the events of WARFRAME. Set during the beginning of the Grineer's conquest, the plot involves the Tenno, a blinded Ostron girl Mitsuki and a Solaris United operative code-named Little Duck, fighting against Captain Vor's forces in the quest of uncovering the secrets of an ancient Orokin Vault. The first issue was released on October 4, 2017, a week before the release of Plains of Eidolon expansion. This series is written by Matt Hawkins and Ryan Cady with additional contributions from Cam Rogers and Ryan Mole, drawn by Studio Hive and lettered by Troy Peteri; with contributions of cover designer Stjepan Šejić, Atilio Rojo and Kevin Glint.

- Warframe Fragments - A series of short webcomics released in the official website of WARFRAME. These Fragments serve as the prequels to certain events or quests of the game, exploring the origins and the backstory of various characters in WARFRAME's universe. It was credited to Steve Sinclair, Ifansyah Noor and Afif Numbo; with a contribution from Caravan Studios.
