Chromatic Blade is a Warframe Augment Mod for Excalibur's Exalted Blade that increases Exalted Blade's status chance while changing its damage from physical damage to a primary elemental damage, depending on Excalibur's chosen primary emission color.
Stats[]
Rank | Status chance | Cost |
---|---|---|
0 | 100% | 6 |
1 | 200% | 7 |
2 | 250% | 8 |
3 | 300% | 9 |
Acquisition[]
- This mod can be acquired by attaining the rank of General under Steel Meridian, or the rank of Maxim under the Arbiters of Hexis, and spending 25000 to purchase.
Notes[]
- Chromatic Blade colour selection works the same way as Chroma's passive.
- White, grey, black, and some faded colors make Cold.
- Blue and purple hues make Electricity.
- Red, magenta, brown, orange and bright yellow hues make Heat.
- Green, lime, teal and dark yellow hues make Toxin.
- Purchasing color palettes is not required to unlock the all the elemental options.
- While customizing Excalibur's emission color, Chromatic Blade's active element is indicated by an icon ( Heat, Electricity, Toxin, Cold). This imgur album can serve as a reference for future color palette purchases.
- Customizing the secondary emission and the energy colors will have no effect.
- Chromatic Blade's elemental damage replaces the innate physical elements and will combine other any elemental damage modded on Exalted Blade.
- The status chance bonus is additive with other status chance mods and is affected by Ability Strength.
- For example, using a maxed Intensify, Drifting Contact, and Chromatic Blade results in:
Total Status Chance = Base status chance × [1 + (Chromatic Blade Bonus × (1 + Strength Mods) × 2) + Status Mods]
= 0.15 × [1 + ( 3 × 1.3) + 0.4] = 79.5% - To achieve 100% status chance without any status chance mods, total Ability Strength must be no less than 189%.
- For example, using a maxed Intensify, Drifting Contact, and Chromatic Blade results in:
- Physical damage mods will no longer affect Exalted Blade's damage with Chromatic Blade equipped.
Bugs[]
- Chromatic Blade's bonus is double the listed amount, i.e. at 100% Ability Strength it gives +600% status chance instead of only +300%.
- For unknown reasons, the element type given by the augment is sometimes shown as Electricity (and forms electric-base compound elements) regardless of emissive color.
Tips[]
- Although Chromatic Blade removes all Physical Damage, it is still possible to inflict Impact procs through the Cutting Poise combo of Exalted Blade's stance.
- Due to the large status chance boost this augment gives, it pairs well with Condition Overload. Furthermore, players can forgo dual status-elemental mods, such as Volcanic Edge, and use mods that only increase Elemental Damage, like Molten Impact, to further increase Exalted Blade's total damage.
- The status chance boost also simplifies creating a Crit-Status hybrid build as status chance mods are no longer necessary.
Trivia[]
- Chromatic Blade is the only one of Excalibur's augments to not feature him with his Immortal Skin and Pendragon Helmet equipped on the mod card.
- The name of the augment comes from the Greek word Chroma, meaning colour.
Maximization[]
This calculator feature is sunsetted on the wiki. It may not see further updates, but will be present on articles for the time being since some people still find use for them. See User blog:Cephalon Scientia/Sunsetting of Maximization Calculators for more details.
