In moments of despair, let the battle resonate with song. Cantare’s blades lodge into the battlefield and return upon reload. When returning blades strike enemies, Cantare empowers allies with increased Reload Speed. Experience the true power of Jade's Ensemble when Evensong, Cantare, and Harmony sing together.

Cantare is JadeIcon272 Jade's signature throwing knives and counterpart to Stalker's Despair Despair. Cantare's knives lodge onto surfaces and return upon reload with significantly increased Critical Chance; enemies struck by returning knives increase ally Reload Speed.

Characteristics[]

  • This weapon deals primarily DmgSlashSmall64 Slash damage.
  • Blades lodges onto surfaces. Upon reloading, the blades return, with an enhanced Critical Chance set to 300%.
    • Set Critical Chance ignores most other modifiers, whether from mods or Warframe abilities. However, DmgPunctureSmall64 Puncture Status Effect can increase the damage to that of a Tier-4 critical hit.
    • Effects that reload while holstered (such as Mod TT 20px Eject Magazine) will restore ammo without affecting the previously thrown blades, which will return upon normal reload, resulting in a higher amount of blades that can be generated and then returned simultaneously.
      • Once the amount of embedded blades exceeds 30, older blades will begin returning with each shot in an inconsistent order.
        • This amount includes shots produced by Multishot.
    • Mod TT 20px Synth Charge will affect all returning blades if reloading from empty.
  • Striking enemies with the returning reload grants Cantare Chorale. increasing Reload Speed by 20% for 30 seconds to all allies within Affinity Range.
    • When combined with the effects of Evensong Evensong, and Harmony Harmony, all three buffs merge into Jade's Ensemble, which lasts 60 seconds and increases the Reload Speed bonus to 60%.

Advantages over other Secondary weapons (excluding modular weapons):

  • Normal Attack (wiki attack index 1)
    • Above average reload speed (1.20 s)
    • Above average total damage (90)

Disadvantages over other Secondary weapons (excluding modular weapons):

  • Normal Attack (wiki attack index 1)
    • Low magazine (6)
    • Very low ammo max (0)
    • Low fire rate (3.33 attacks/sec)
    • Very low disposition (●○○○○ (0.65x))

Notes[]

  • Returning knives seem to target the midpoint between the two ammo pouches on the Warframe's thighs rather than the location of the aiming reticle above its shoulder. In order to consistently strike an enemy with the returning blades, it may be necessary to aim above and slightly to the side of them (i.e., if you're aiming past the Warframe's left shoulder, aim to the left of the enemy) to counteract this.

Trivia[]

  • Cantare is an Italian word that translates "to sing".
