The following section contains spoilers.

Buffs and Debuffs are effects that can positively or negatively affect a target during a mission. Some buffs and debuffs may present an icon right next to the player's health and shields. In-game, blue icons denote buffs and red icons denote debuffs.

General Buffs

Critical Chance Bonus Buff Player

Weapon critical chance is increased by the following sources:

All weapons
Non-shotgun primaries only
Primary shotguns only
Melee only

Critical Damage Multiplier Bonus Buff Player

Weapon critical damage multiplier is increased by the following sources:

Damage Bonus Buff User/Ally

Additive damage increase is added before other calculations. Bonus acts like and stacks additively with damage mods such as Serration.

Multiplicative damage increase is multiplied after certain calculations (like damage mods such as Serration).

Flat damage increase adds a set amount of damage to your weapon under certain conditions.

Damage Reduction Buff Player

Players will take reduced Health, Shield, and Overshield damage from enemies (stacks multiplicatively with Armor if damage is dealt to health and stacks multiplicatively with other sources of damage reduction).

Damage Reflection Buff Player

Damage takened will be reflected or redirected towards enemies.

Damage Resistance Buff Player

Players will take reduced Health, Shield, and Overshield damage from enemies (stacks multiplicatively with other sources of damage reduction, but stacks additively with sources of damage resistance).

Elemental Damage Bonus Buff Ally

Increases the damage of weapons and certain abilities. This bonus is multiplicative after damage mods such as Serration12?cb=20190608095452 Serration, but before elemental mods such as Hellfire12?cb=20190608095452 Hellfire (i.e. stacks additively with elemental mods). The element bonus can combine with elements already present on the weapon (e.g. using Fireball Frenzy12?cb=20190608095452 Fireball Frenzy on a Cold DamageDmgColdSmall64.png Cold weapon makes it deal Blast DamageDmgBlastSmall64.png Blast) or increase the elemental component of a secondary element if that is not innate (e.g. using Shock Trooper12?cb=20190608095452 Shock Trooper on a weapon modded with Radiation DamageDmgRadiationSmall64.png Radiation increases the Electricity DamageDmgElectricitySmall64.png Electricity component on the weapon, if Radiation DamageDmgRadiationSmall64.png Radiation is innate, Electricity DamageDmgElectricitySmall64.png Electricity is added following the above rules).

Elemental damage bonuses can be cast on Companions, Specters, Mind ControlMindControl130xDark.png Mind Controlled enemies, Shadows, Saryn's Molt, Loki's Decoy, Invasion Allies and Clones created from Blade StormBladeStorm130xDark.png Blade Storm. Bonuses cannot be applied to allies suffering from a Radiation DamageDmgRadiationSmall64.png Radiation proc.

Energy Restoration Buff Player

Players will have their Energy restored while under these effects:

Instantaneous
Over-time
Indirectly (through spawning Energy Orbs)
Eximus Aura Buff Enemy

(Mind controlled enemies and syndicate specters will grant bonus to allies)

  • Arson/Caustic Eximus units project a fire resistance aura to their nearby allies, which nullifies all Heat DamageDmgHeatSmall64.png Heat damage; this aura also extends to combined elemental damage and will nullify the Heat DamageDmgHeatSmall64.png Heat damage of combined types utilizing it.
  • Arctic Eximus units project a cold resistance aura to their nearby allies, which nullifies all Cold DamageDmgColdSmall64.png Cold damage; this aura also extends to combined elemental damage types and will nullify the Cold DamageDmgColdSmall64.png Cold damage of said combined type.
  • Shock Eximus units project an electric resistance aura on their nearby allies which nullifies all Electricity DamageDmgElectricitySmall64.png Electricity damage. This aura also extends to combined elemental damage and will nullify the Electricity DamageDmgElectricitySmall64.png Electricity damage of said combined type.
  • Venomous Eximus units project a toxin resistance aura to their nearby allies, which nullifies all Toxin DamageDmgToxinSmall64.png Toxin damage, this aura also extends to combined elemental damage and will nullify the Toxin DamageDmgToxinSmall64.png Toxin damage of said combined type.
Faction Damage Bonus Buff Player

Players gain multiplicative damage bonus against a particular faction when equipped with the mods below in order of primary rifle, primary shotgun, secondary, and melee. This damage bonus stacks on top of base damage and any elemental mods added on a weapon.

Fire Rate Bonus Buff Player

Sources of weapon fire rate increase are:

Health Restoration Buff Player

Players will have their Health restored while under these effects:

Instantaneous
Over-time
Indirectly (through spawning Health Orbs)
Holster Speed Bonus Buff Player

The player switches weapons faster.

Invisibility Buff Player

The player becomes visually undetectable by any enemy. Enemies won't be alerted upon entering their line of sight.

Invincibility Buff Player

The player is invulnerable to any damage, or at the very least unable to die, when casting these abilities or under these effects.

Reload Speed Bonus Buff Player

Reload speed for weapons is increased.

Rerolling Loot Drop Buff Player

Players will gain another chance at rerolling the loot drop table of a particular enemy that is affected by the abilities below. These abilities may act on the same enemy more than once to produce multiple loot drops. However, you cannot stack abilities of the same class (i.e. Pilfering Swarm12?cb=20190608095452 Pilfering Swarm and Pilfering Strangledome12?cb=20190608095452 Pilfering Strangledome) to produce more than one loot drop.

Status Immunity Buff Player

The player is cleansed of (or is unaffected by) any current status effects and is immune to future status procs. This includes physical effects such as staggers, stuns, and knockdowns.

Ancient Disruptor Aura Buff Enemy

(Mind controlled enemies will grant bonus to allies; note that some of the bonuses may not apply to players)

  • Reduces damaged recieved from Warframe abilities by 90%
  • Energy from Warframes are drained proportionally to the damage dealt by enemies under the aura
  • Reduces crowd control effects of certain Warframe abilities (effect varies from ability to ability)
    • Multiple Ancient Disruptor auras can stack, causing a greater reduction effect
Ancient Healer Aura Buff Enemy

(Mind controlled enemies will grant bonus to allies)

  • Grants 90% damage reduction
  • Status and knockdown immunity to all under the aura
  • Damage done to protected allies will heal the Ancient Healer for up to 150% of its health
Corruption Buff All

Obtainable during Void Fissures, the effect varies for enemies and Tennos.
Enemies: The target will be stunned temporarily, granting invulnerability during that time frame. Tenno: After collecting 10 Reactants, a buff will be randomly given to either the Warframe or a weapon. The buffed equipment will have a corrupted texture effect and emit lighting bolts for the duration of the buff. The buff duration is based on the tier of the Void Fissure, following the formula: Buff Duration = 30s × Mission Tier.

Volt's Electric ShieldElectricShield130xDark.png Electric Shield External Buff User/Ally

Shots fired through VoltVoltIcon272.png Volt's Electric ShieldElectricShield130xDark.png Electric Shield gain an additive 50% Electricity DamageDmgElectricitySmall64.png Electricity damage and have their critical damage multiplied by 200%.

Mutalist QuantaInfCrpShockSwarm.png Mutalist Quanta's Orbs External Buff User/Ally

Shots fired through the Mutalist QuantaInfCrpShockSwarm.png Mutalist Quanta's infested orbs gain additional Electricity DamageDmgElectricitySmall64.png Electricity damage, critical chance and damage.

  • Damage bonus stacks with the amount of stacks the orbs have when the shots go through them.

General Debuffs

Armor Reduction Debuff Enemy

A portion (or the entirety) of a target armor is removed.

Armor Reduction Debuff Player

A portion of a player's armor is removed.

Attracted Debuff Enemy

The target will halt its current action and mindlessly move towards a point.

Blinded CC Enemy

The target is temporarily stuck in a blinded state, staggering backwards and with smoke emitting from their eyes. Finishers can be performed on blinded enemies.

Blinded CC Player

The player is temporarily stuck in a blinded state, their HUD is flashed white.

Confusion Debuff Enemy

The target will become confused and indiscriminately attack its enemies and allies.

Converted Debuff Enemy

The target will change side, being friendly to the Tenno and start attacking his own faction.

Damage Vulnerability Debuff Enemy

The target is more suseptibile to damage from Warframe abilities and weapons, taking more damage than usual.

Deafened Debuff Enemy

The target cannot hear any gunshots, alarms, or death screams, hence cannot be alerted by them.

Dispel Debuff Player

The player's active abilities will be deactivated.

Disarmed Debuff Enemy

The target has weapons disarmed, forcing them to use alternative weapons.

Disarmed Debuff Player

The player has their current gun disarmed, forcing them to switch to their primary/secondary or melee.

Disrupted Debuff Player

The player's HUD will become scrambled, lowering visability.

Eximus Aura Debuff Enemy

(Mind controlled enemies and syndicate specters will grant debuff to enemies of the Tenno)

  • Arctic Eximus units project a Cold DamageDmgColdSmall64.png Cold aura that emits a Cold DamageDmgColdSmall64.png Cold status effect to nearby enemies, slowing their movement and attack speed.
  • Shock Eximus units project an Lua error in Module:Tooltips at line 32: M:Tooltips.getIcon(): icon not found in "DamageTypes" for "Electric" (Are you using the wrong tooltip template or made a typo?   • Energy Leech/Parastic Eximus units can drain players' energy within 15 meters at a rate of 5s−1 (does not stack)
Inaccurate Debuff Enemy

The target's accuracy is reduced.

Jammed CC Enemy

The target's guns are jammed, forcing them into an animation where they try to unjam their guns.

Knockdown CC Enemy

The target is knocked off their feet and falls on their back. Ground Finishers can be performed on these enemies.

Knockdown CC Player

The player is knocked off their feet and falls on their back.

Nullified Debuff Player

The player's active abilities will be deactivated and the player cannot cast any new abilities while nullified.

Paralyzed, Disabled, Stuck CC Enemy

The target is stuck in a particular position.

Paralyzed, Disabled CC Player

The player is stuck in a particular position.

Ragdolled CC Enemy

The target is immediately sent to a ragdoll state.

Sleep CC Enemy

The target is in a standing sleeping state and will not perform any action.

Slowed CC Enemy

The target's movement and actions are slowed.

Slowed CC Player

The player's movement and actions are slowed.

Status Effects Debuff Enemy

Status Effects are additional effects that are inflicted by Warframe abilities and weapons. Each Damage type has an associated status effect that could proc when damaging an enemy.

Stagger CC Enemy

The target is momentarily staggered, interrupting their current action.

Stagger CC Player

The player is momentarily staggered, interrupting their current action.
