A fragment of Stalker's War Sword, a symbol of his defeat

Broken-War is a sword formed from half of the War greatsword, the weapon gifted to Stalker by the Sentient Hunhow. This weapon is granted as a reward for completing The Second Dream Quest.

This broken version of War deals mostly Slash b Slash damage instead of the War'sImpact b Impact, making it better suited against flesh.

Characteristics

This weapon deals primarily Slash b damage.

Advantages:

  • Highest base damage of all single-handed weapons.
  • Longest reach of all longsword weapons.
  • Comes with a Madurai Pol and Naramon Pol polarity.
  • Stance slot has Madurai Pol polarity, matches Crimson Dervish and Vengeful Revenant stances.
  • Slam attack ragdolls enemies.
  • Good critical chance.

Disadvantages:

  • Lower Impact b and Puncture b damage, less effective against shields and armor.

Notes

  • The Broken-War comes pre-installed with an Orokin Catalyst and weapon slot upon completing The Second Dream.
  • The weapon's default attack uses the Vengeful Revenant stance's move set instead of the normal longsword actions.
  • The Broken-War is currently used to construct the War, which will remove it from the inventory. As there is currently no method of obtaining the Broken-War outside of the Second Dream quest, constructing the War will mean losing the Broken-War permanently.

Tips

Trivia

  • The Broken-War is a piece of the larger War greatsword, which was split in two following the climax of the Second Dream quest, with the smaller piece torn being repurposed into a longsword.
