Councilor Vay Hek's node was changed to use a Mastery Rank lock in Update 15.13 (2015-02-05), and the Beacons themselves were removed from the Prosecutors' drop tables in Update 18.10 (2016-04-29).

Beacons were resources dropped by Grineer Prosecutors. They work similarly to Nav Coordinates and were required to build the Vay Hek Frequency Triangulator, which was previously used to access the Councilor Vay Hek Assassination mission.
