Notes[]

  • Damage reduction affects TitaniaIcon272 Titania during Razorwing130xWhite Razorwing and HildrynIcon272 Hildryn during AegisStorm130xWhite Aegis Storm.
  • Can be used with Mod TT 20px Agility Drift to grant a 1 - [ (1 - Mod TT 20px 0.4) * (1 - Mod TT 20px 0.12) ] = 47.2% damage reduction while airborne. In addition, can be used with Mod TT 20px Agility Drift and Mod TT 20px Aerodynamic to grant 1 - [ (1 - Mod TT 20px 0.4) * (1 - Mod TT 20px 0.12) * (1 - Mod TT 20px 0.24) ] = 59.872% damage reduction while airborne.
  • Can be used in conjunction with rolling in the air for an even greater damage reduction.
  • Damage reduction works similarly to Mod TT 20px Antitoxin, meaning it applies alongside the modified damage from elemental bonuses. This results in damage reduction differing from 40%.
    • When combined, the effects are multiplicative, resulting in 1 - [ (1 - Mod TT 20px 0.4) * (1 - Mod TT 20px 0.45) ] = 67% less DmgToxinSmall64 Toxin damage taken while airborne.

Trivia[]

  • ZephyrIcon272 Zephyr was introduced shortly after Operation Oxium Espionage concluded, making this the first mod hinting at upcoming content.
    • Originally this mod only provided 5% damage reduction at base rank, up to 20% when fully ranked. Operation: Ambulas Reborn saw the return of this mod as well as its damage reduction doubled at all mod levels.

Patch History[]

Update 30.5 (2021-07-06)

Damage Resistance Mod Math Changes:

The following changes occurred due to the following scenario being shared:

A player reported that combining Umbral Mods + Adaptation + Lightning Rod on any Warframe made them fully immune to all damage from the Hydrolyst Eidolon.

Prior to this discovery, we already made sure we couldn’t reach 100% Damage Resistance because that would just be excessive in all cases. You can see this in action when we capped the ‘In Air’ Damage Resistance Mods. Even though the Mods theoretically could reach 100% Damage Resistance, there is a hard cap at 90%.

In response and to avoid future oversights, we have changed the way Damage Resistance works. It now works on ‘Damage Remaining’ instead of having all the Modifiers combined and operating at once.

Example:
Consider the case of:
4x 25% Damage Resistance Mods

WAS: (25% + 25% + 25% + 25%) = 100% Damage Reduction

NEW: Take 25% Less Damage = Only take 75% Damage

0.75 x 0.75 x 0.75 x 0.75 = 31.5% damage taken AKA 68.5% damage reduction

  • (Undocumented) removed 90% cap.

Hotfix 25.7.8 (2019-09-26)

  • Airborne resistance from Mods is now capped at 90% to prevent stacking past 100% in some cases.

Hotfix 24.5.6 (2019-03-26)

  • Fixed the Aviator Mod not always applying the reduced Damage while airborne correctly to Hildryn.

Hotfix 24.5.5 (2019-03-25)

  • Aviator now applies to Titania while she is in Razorwing.

Update 21.0 (2017-06-29)

  • Reintroduced as a drop reward from Noxes.

Update 11.9 (2014-01-29)
