Slash through enemies with two leaves of the exceedingly rare Arum Spinosa plant. Heavy Attack to whip a flurry of toxic spines at ranged attackers.

Arum Spinosa is an Infestation w Infested Warfan that shoots DmgToxinSmall64 Toxin projectiles on Heavy Attack.

Characteristics[]

  • This weapon primarily deals DmgSlashSmall64 Slash damage.
  • Stance slot has Naramon Pol polarity, matching Mod TT 20px Slicing Feathers and Mod TT 20px Votive Onslaught stance.
  • Heavy Attacks throw toxic spines, with each spine doing 70 base damage.
    • The first heavy attack throws 18 spines, each with a 2.5x damage multiplier; the second heavy attack in sequence throws 9 spines, each with a 5x damage multiplier,
    • Damage of the spines are affected by mods.
    • Spines are considered a heavy attack. Their damage will scale from the combo counter and mods such as Mod TT 20px Killing Blow.
    • Spines have innate Punch Through.
    • Spine damage does not diminish with distance.
    • Has a travel time.
    • Has a limited range of ~35 meters.
    • Cannot use Thrown Melee mods Mod TT 20px Combo Fury, Mod TT 20px Power Throw, Mod TT 20px Quick Return (Mod TT 20px Volatile), Mod TT 20px Rebound (Mod TT 20px Volatile), and Mod TT 20px Whirlwind.

The Arum Spinosa's blueprint and components can be acquired from Tier 2 (Lvl 40-50) Isolation Vault Bounties (normal and Arcana). The blueprint and all components can be traded.

Melee Attack Explanations
  • A "sweep attack" is an arcing melee strike that intends to hit an enemy with the edge of the blade (the length of obround melee hitbox).
  • A "thrust attack" is a melee strike that intends to hit an enemy with the tip of the blade (the rounded edge of obround melee hitbox).
  • A "360/spin attack" is a sliding sweep attack that hits targets around the player (not always in a 360° arc, but is usually above 180°).
  • A "direct slam attack" is a melee strike that hits a single target at the epicenter of a slam attack.
  • A "radial slam attack" is the area-of-effect component of the melee slam attack. Affected by the Seismic Wave mod.
  • A "ranged attack" is any melee attack that launches a ranged projectile or can hit targets beyond melee range.

  • Average Damage Multiplier per second only applies to single-target DPS calculations.
  • Note that hits marked as "Radial Slam Attack" will not apply at the epicenter of a single target hit so these will not be accounted for in Avg Dmg Multi/s calculations.
  • Combo animation lengths are approximate and are only accurate within a few tenths of a second.

Trivia[]

  • The name of the weapon may have come from the English word "Arum", and Italian word "Spinoso".
    • The arum is a flowering plant seen in Europe, northern Africa, and western and central Asia.
    • "Spinoso", in Italian, means "Prickly", or "Thorny".

To balance out the Weapon Blueprint drop % reduction we’ve made the Sporothrix and Arum Spinosa Blueprints tradable. The Sporothrix and Arum Spinosa parts were already Tradable, but it’s now one step further.

  • Fixed the actual base Blueprint for the new Arum Spinosa not being in Rotation A of Deimos: Arcana Bounties. Arum Spinosa Blueprint is now in Rotation A at 18%.
