Aoi Morohoshi is a character introduced during the Whispers in the Walls quest. The logistics of The Hex, she is a Protoframe who dons a partial exoskeleton-like suit resembling the Warframe 
Mag and possesses magnetic powers.

Before the events of 1999, Arthur and Aoi were some of the first volunteers who came forward to Dr. Entrati's offer to receive more than healing. They were then infused with Helminth serums from Albrecht's time, which in turn morphed and alchemized them into partial Warframes; Aoi's was that of Mag's. Their bodies became newly attuned to the Void, whilst their minds were kept intact.
Repeated samples were then taken from the now-transformed volunteers by Albrecht himself, with research of Arthur and Aoi's own anatomies written along the blackboards of the Netracells of Albrecht's Laboratories. It was implied by the doctor himself that their humanity may not last, and that it may be only a matter of time until the Helminth finally swallows them whole.
Whispers in the Walls[]
During 1999, Aoi is not seen, but rather is heard asking Arthur to contact her and assure her he is alive. Then she asks him to find a man named Dr. Entrati before being attacked by something. Right before her transmission cuts off, Mag's 
Crush ability can be heard.
Trivia[]
- Aoi (青い) is a Japanese word that means 'blue' (as an adjective). This may reference Mag's color palette, which consists of blue colors.
- Aoi (葵), as a Japanese given name, means a family of flowering plants called malvaceae.
- She was first heard during the TennoCon 2023 reveal demo.
- She is voiced by Alpha Takahashi.
- Her concept was designed by Liger Inzuka.

"After making 1999 Excalibur Arthur and establishing a style, creating 1999 Mag Aoi was easy and quick. The Mag Warframe is rather simple character, with not much to embellish being an older styled Warframe. So, we decided to emphasize the most characteristic parts of Mag she does have; her coiled arms, and the shell-like bands up the torso. This we translated into an agent's submarine suit inspired look, creating a more top-heavy composition. Added with short pistol holsters, as the suit's silhouette narrows down Mag's body leaving her legs practically untouched.
There is a small amount of development art, due to Aoi coming into realization rather quickly. The leads desired a Harajuku-inspired Japanese young woman, so we wanted to emphasize stylish and colorful hair to add to the established top-heavy composition. While simple, this is our favorite agent design thus far."
