- The Skana Prime was initially referred to as the "Fin Sword" in the Codex.
- Up until Update 12.0 (02-05-2014), only a small portion of the energy lights can be colored. It is now fully customizable.
- In Hotfix 15.5.1 (11-27-2014) this weapon was given access to the Bright Purity augment, after player feedback regarding the exclusivity of the mod was raised.
