Hello hello,
First off, a new Spoilers filter has been added! If you feel the need to talk about anything New War related you can put your post in the Spoilers category and do so without worry. For those using the mobile Fandom app this should be pretty useful.
I would only ask that even though you're posting in the Spoilers category you still preface your post with an appropriate spoiler warning. This is because some users browse /f/ on desktop where filters don't actually work as filters, so it is still possible to run into a Spoilers post. Be kind and courteous please!
That's the good news. However, there is also some bad news...
You see, several years back the Wiki had both /d/ (what we now know as /f/) and a separate Discussion Board. These two forums both had their own categories and filters. Then Fandom merged these two together into what we have today. Because of that, /f/ kept both sets of filters from the two, which ended up totally over 15 different filters to choose from, many of which overlapped (Questions, Questions and Answers; General Discussion, General; Trading, Trading; etc).
Because there were so many we could no longer add any new filters since we were already over our limit of 10. With the advent of New War it seemed appropriate to finally go through these filters and decide which ones should be merged with others to get us back under the limit, as well as finally add a Spoilers filter.
Sadly, for those users that have been on the forums for several years, this included the merging of Doudich's Garlic into Off Topic. So while we no longer have ambiguity with overlapping filters, we've "lost" a popular legacy filter.
Don't worry, any posts made in the Doudich's Garlic category still live on in Off Topic, the original filter just no longer exists.
With that said, take a moment of silence to mourn the loss of Garlic, then enjoy your new /f/ experience!
Thank you!
