For all of you console players who haven't seen the news, here you go...
Ok, you know I'm going to be blunt and (to some people) offensive. Yes I am a grumpy old man, but that's because of lazy ass people who can't do things on their own, nor can they think for themselves.
This is a great topic, especially for the vets on this site. A lot of us have been here a long time, we've seen salt, we've seen ignorance, we've seen pretty much everything, both positive and negative. One thing that is constant, is lazy idiocy. Anyone with any brain's at all can easily find the answers to their questions on their own. If you managed to find this wiki, you can manage to search the answers to your questions.
To me there's no excuse for asking a question on here, (unless it's an opinionated or fact checking question), all others are pure ignorance and laziness. I say bull crap to those who use the excuse, "well I'm new to the wiki, I didn't know". That's s load of crap in my book. As I stated, if you can find the wiki, you can find your answers.
I challenge anyone to look up all my posts and see if I ever asked a question that the wiki can answer. I'll bet anyone 100 plat, you can't. I use common sense, and my god given gift called a brain. People today want you to shit for them then wipe their ass even though your the one who did the shitting for them.
I weep for this generations future, they want everything handed to them, and expect to do nothing for it. Self entitlement is becoming a norm, and that is down right dangerous.
In closing; all you new people, be glad and thankful for everyone's hard work in providing this wiki for you, the amount of info on here is mind boggling, there's very few things about the game that's not on this site, yet your to lazy to use it. Be glad you have this site. When the game first came out and like a year or more after, no one had a guide to the game. It was a long frustrating trial and error for us. We only had each other and ingame chat to try and find answers about the game, and half the time no one knew the correct answers.
Get off your lazy asses and use your brains.
That's the beautiful thing with this game, you can make it yours. I've seen people successful build and use ivara as a tank, and never use her cloak. I've seen people turn a support frame into a selfish tank, or damage dealer. I've seen people turn messa into a support frame.
Just play around till you find what fits you, there's no correct way or wrong way of modding, only personal preference. The same with how you use your frames. Simply make it your game. I've been playing since it's released on console and I'm still changing builds and playstyles.
Does it really matter, since you enjoy playing him?
Whether it's worth it or not is irrelevant, what's really important is if your comfortable and enjoy playing as him. Regardless of scaling (up or down), if you really enjoy a frame then you should be familiar enough with to know how to adjust to different game play and difficulty.
For all of you console players who haven't seen the news, here you go...
So far bramma, by a mile. Haven't received the update on console yet, so can't say for sure if there's a major difference between old update and new update when considering explosive weapons.
Reasons why bramma is better:
Better draw rate
Depending on how you mod it, better dmg
Better balanced (crit chance vs status chance balance)
Much better carpeting area, (cluster bombs cover a much wider area then lenz)
Down side compared to lenz:
Only one I can think of is lenz has a much better crit.
This is more of my opinion and personal experience with both, I'm still messing around with my bramma, 3 more forma to max it, and already it's out performing the lenz for me.
Ghost clan here, cause no one can stick with the game for more then a week or two anymore. I have exactly 5 clan members but only two of us are regularly active. We had up to 30 members at one time but they all were either to imature or to casual to stick around. Our rules are very laid back, and we are very relaxed clan, we just can't find dedicated players.
Have you been suspended from the chat for "improper language" or something? Not saying you might have done it on purpose or anything, but there are certain key words that the kick bot will automatically suspend your account. Like typing trap, or in my case, (which I didn't get suspended for it but it wouldn't let me do it), I tried naming my railjack "USS Essex" which is a real ship that I served on while in the marines, but the game bot wouldn't allow it cause "sex" is in "essex", go figure.
Hope this helps, and if it is that, don't worry it only lasts a week or two for a first time offence.
Oh thank you, now it makes sense. Who ever said that is a complete moron. Don't read into people's mastery rank to much. There are a lot of people who just power level for the mastery rank, and everyone really "play" the game. If you want something to go off of, to see if someone is a true vet, go by their profile and look at what they have accomplished, how many events have they done, how balanced is their percentage of most used anything, and just look at overall stats, if they have a ton of just a few stats and little of others, more then likely they are just people who do the same things over and over again, and don't try to experience the whole game. Which makes them slightly less knowledgeable then say a true vet, who has a quite a large mix of everything stats wise.
Either that or go by their knowledge. They are the two best ways to tell if someone's a vet or knows what their talking about.
This is just my opinion on what to look for.
Holly jalapeno, DE is really stepping up there game. Were those from a 4k?
Question. Whats the point of this poll? Seriously, I'm not trying to be an ass or anything, just curious on what the purpose of this poll is.
When elphantis first came out, we only had a few frames to choose from and the weapons and mods were extremely underpowered. It took me and a team of 2 others an hour and a half, about 30 ammo restores each, 20 energy restores each, and at least 30 health restores each, just to take the f'r down. We use to use him as an initiator for new clan members. Just to break them in and show them what they'll be up against.
Now hes a joke, it's like a 3-5 minute fight lol.
Right now there really isn't a real challenging boss, the higher level hordes present a much more dangerous challenge.
Same thing with me, it just seems like there's no time for gaming anymore, I'm lucky if i get on once or twice a week. Lately I've been a little more active, just just don't have the time, or concentration to get on, to many real things going on.
I do miss the old days though. Long, sometimes heated posts, lore discussions and theories, everyone congratulating each other on this milestone or that milestone, and the overall friendship a lot of us had. They were the good old days.
^exactly, at first it looks like they are making status similar to crit, in that you will get bonuses for going over 100%, but then when reading into it with shotguns it just seems like they're talking about 2 different things. Example: the first time I read that dev workshop I took it similar to the way you are. Each individual pellet has it's own status pool. Where as right know each pellet is divided by the same status pool. Thus you currently need 100% status to even have a chance to proc a status effect. Let's say you have 10 pellets per shot and 99% status, that's 9.9% chance for each pellet. The way I first understood the change, was that same 99% and 10 pellets, each individual pellet would have 99% chance. Thus why they are adding stacking of all dmg types.
However after reading it over and over, it seems weird on what they are trying to say, so I'm not sure what they are trying to do.
I hope this helps in figuring out if it's a buff or nerf. From the way I'm Interpreting it, it's neither, instead they are balancing it. With them buffing the status chance of all shotguns, plus allowing all damage types to stack, they had to break up the percent chance between pellets, otherwise every shotgun would nearly be the same, and they'd be way to op.
This is straight from the dev work shop, rebecca wrote it up herself. You can interpret it any way you want, but what I wrote is how I understand it might work.
Ya just lurking and reading posts for the last few month, maybe a year, I've noticed a huge change in post discussions, some good some bad. However to me it seems less family like then a year ago. Back then this wiki was kind of like the show Cheers, "everybody knows your name, and everyone's glad you came" lol. Well maybe not the latter part as much, but even the ones who didn't get a long very well, the knew each other well enough to have a certain respect for each other.
Now it just seems more acquaintance type environment. I don't know maybe it's just me.
I don't even remember, it was either nova or mag.
Ya Ghouls purge is getting really old now. Other then new players, does anyone even play the purge anymore?
That's weird, but I'm glad they decided to make her, she's a boss killing machine.
Not sure how many hours, but roughly 2100+.
Around 10 pitches give or take one or two.
All quests complete.
I'm a compulsive completionest, when new content comes out, I'm all over it like a pit bull.
