Hey all! Trying to get a new player into the game, but they are incredibly new to shooter games as a whole: she's struggling with aiming and movement as a whole. What Warframes, weapons, companions, etc should we work towards getting her?

If aiming is an issue, melee weapons will always work.
And it just so happens that you get Broken War, a really good melee weapon, relatively early in the story. The Duviri melee weapons are also available at MR0. While not the best, they are definitely far better than the average melee at that level.
Then there are the guns that need no aim or effort, like Ignis (Wraith).
You can also carry them through Lich hunts at a very, very low mastery rank, for them to obtain a strong and easy weapon like Kuva Nukor.
Although I'd probably recommend letting them progress through the weapons naturally and making them find what they like. There are almost no low rank guns that are worth keeping. With the exceptions being weapons that they can give an incarnon to later.
As for warframes, Inaros is very easy to make more than sufficiently tanky for beginners. There are plenty of better tanky frames, but most of them need more mod investment.
Rhino and Nezha are also pretty good for beginners, due to being pretty tanky at the beginning with their abilities, and they are pretty easy to get.
Attend to what seems like the core issue.
PSA method calculator - JSCalc.io (from what i can tell a 'meta' method) i vouche for it i personally dont have attention span for what the video reccomends
what worked for me Where To Download Aimlabs For Free (epic launcher or steam) aimlabs program has a free tool that takes 10min (15?) essentially automating the process. also have a tool to convert the number it spits out to warframes settings
If your gonna do that personal recomendation/suggestion
Read thru. maye want to write down settings so can revert if wish.
assuming PC and have mouse with software that can control its dpi.(built in dpi toggle/selector bonus {my dpi range warframe:400dpi. windows:26000})
recommend:
"pointer options" in windows settings. > uncheck 'enhanced pointer precision'
set slider: 1 or 2 notches from minmum.
{If DPI toggle} set as high as can go upto 2400 _{hard/soft}ware dependiong} | else as high as dpi as servicabl
Purpose. to setup buffers for adjustments | higher/capping dpi is easier for mouse.
Micro management: sitting up,- pref in chair -.. Adjust mouse pad position can comfortabley reach far side. clear little obstructs etc ( gamers can get sloppy stations =) lol
Hopefully this works or at least helps u find an answer. if new to shooters then setting up a good foundation is ideal.
Changing keybinds might be a barrier as well.
My thoughts around this hand health related as well as optimizing but out of scope. so ill leave it here.
1. **Melee Weapons:**
- **Broken War:** This is an excellent melee weapon that players can obtain relatively early in the game. It deals good damage and has a balanced attack speed, making it forgiving for beginners.
- **Duviri Melee Weapons:** These are accessible early on (Mastery Rank 0) and provide a good starting point without overwhelming the player with complexity.
2. **Guns that Require Minimal Aiming:**
- **Ignis (Wraith):** The Ignis is a flamethrower-style weapon with a wide area-of-effect, meaning that precise aiming isn't necessary. This is perfect for players who might struggle with shooter mechanics.
- **Kuva Nukor:** Recommended for later when the player gains more experience. It's a powerful sidearm that locks onto targets, reducing the need for precise aim.
3. **Letting the Player Progress Naturally:**
- Allowing the new player to explore and find weapons they enjoy is a great approach. Warframe has a vast arsenal, and personal preference plays a significant role in finding the right weapon.
### Additional Suggestions
- **Warframes:** Consider recommending Warframes that are easy to use and forgiving for new players, like Rhino (for his tankiness) or Excalibur (for his balanced abilities).
- **Companions:** A companion like **Helios** can be helpful as it scans enemies and provides some additional firepower without requiring too much input from the player.
