Didn't need to explain anything, hell the text when you complete the quest literally says it gave more questions than answers. Plus its the start of a side story so all we gotta do is wait for them to add more onto it.

Well duh. The game's been doing that for 8 years now. Every quest just adds to a pile of nothing that gets forgotten anyways. I thought the writing was going somewhere with Kalymos Protocol, but this one just reverted back to what the game was 5 years ago. It's some Destiny 2 levels of mediocrity.
