I like the mechanic of the incarnon weapons and some of the upgrades are really strong. I prefer it over the primary and both are level 4. Sadly you have to have all 3 incarnon weapons for the final challenge and the melee requires R4 with the syndicate so it will be a few days before anyone has level 5.
For clarification, if that was confusing, the first two options are meant for people who don't have it but have thoughts on how good/bad it looks.
For further clarification, Evolution 5 (henceforth referred to as E5) was obtainable through a script error until Hotfix 31.5.2 if you ran a mission with only Incarnon evolving weapons and at least one of your slots was empty, as long as one of the weapons involved was E4.
I guess the variety of possible states it could be in sort of reduce the number of possible variations on how you feel about it, and for that I apologize.
I have it at evolution 5 myself and I believe it seems quite good, and I have two builds for it that take quite some time to swap between, sadly, as you have to talk to the vendor every time you want to change your evolution path.
I was just wondering how other people felt about it, as it's the Incarnon weapon people are most likely to have, the other one people could have being Phenmor and requiring at least R2 in the relevant syndicate.
Sorry for writing so much! I just really do find the ways this weapon can be built interesting. And I wanted to create a notation for referring to the evolution path taken!
Okay, so we're going to go with something similar to the amp configuration notation. It'll be (for Laetum) LXXXX, with each number referring to an evolution tier, starting at 2. The values will be 0-3, denoting which one you have selected, from left to right, in each evolution tier, with 0 indicating that you haven't obtained the evolution tier yet, and X indicating that the selection is up to the user.
The other two will be PhXXXX or PrXXXX, with Ph- indicating Phenmor and Pr- indicating Praedos.
My builds use L2131 and L2123. Anyone have anything else they use?
Again, sorry for writing so much.
@TheRealestFrank I have obtained evolution 5 through the (accidental) use of a bug they fixed in Hotfix 31.5.2, as have (likely) numerous other players, but not the majority.
If anyone likes my idea of having a notation, but doesn't like the notation, please tell me, but I don't have a clue if it'll catch on anytime soon. I just want to have a way to refer to them.
Interesting I didn’t know the E5 bug existed! Sad I missed out on it but I’ll get there in a few days. And I like the way of denoting what evolutions you chose. You could also do PXXXX SXXXX and MXXXX for primary secondary melee, but that might be confusing if they add more weapons. I’ll check tomorrow to see what my setup is. I like that there will probably not be a meta for these weapons since several of the choices are personal preference. So far I like the weapons, even if they aren’t crazy good it’s still a fun mechanic.
Pretty strong, maybe even too strong
I'd have to agree that it's quite strong, but why would it be too strong? Outside of its extremely beneficial interactions with Cascadia Empowered, of course.
I like all of the weapons
This is the first weapon where crit is bad thing.
I have a crit-focused build, an L2123. It seems to work a lot better than my L2131, at least for now. The deciding factor is that you can build for crit and status both on the 3rd, because you can trigger the bonus with Cascadia Empowered.
What do you think?
