You are still lacking many practically mandatory mods to make a proper build, so there is no real point in asking, as it just looks like you are using whatever you currently have.
This is what a proper build for Broken War would look like. There are some variations, like Primed Pressure Point instead of Condition Overload or a faction mod and additional attack speed instead of the viral mods, or having unranked viral mods and so on.
Anyway, now for the bad things in the melee build, ignoring the usage of unranked mods:
-Vengeful Revenant is a pretty mediocre stance. Iron Phoenix is much better, but looks pretty boring in comparison. Feel free to use the cool looking one instead, but know that Iron Phoenix deals more damage.
-Relentless Combination is a very bad mod unless you know what you are doing with it.
-Life Strike is only for heavy attacks. Normally you'd never use it on a normal attack weapon, but I'll assume that this is your only way to heal yourself for now.
-Physical Damage mods (Jagged Edge) are bad. Unlike elemental mods they scale based off the actual amount of slash damage instead of the total base damage. Its not that much of a big deal for Broken War, as it has a high slash percentage, but an elemental mod will likely do you more good. Slash damage mods will not increase slash proc damage, just the relative slash proc chance.
-Combo Duration is usually outsourced to the Naramon Focus as to not waste melee mod space.
-Heat on a slash based weapon is bad. Build Viral if you build any element.
-You'll absolutely want Blood Rush and Weeping Wounds. Farm them asap, as they are extremely strong mods. (The Gladiator set effect is basically the same thing Blood Rush does, so using multiple Gladiator mods, especially on the frame, may be a good temporary replacement for blood rush and a nice extra value in addition to blood rush later on.)
-You will want a critical damage mod as well. it is more important than having multiple critical chance mods.
@Ladyvan thanks for the feedback what mod should replace jagged edge?
@Ladyvan are you saying i have to complete all node then make builds that can survive steel path to just get weeping wounds or wait till theres an event ;-;
Weeping and blood rush can be farmed from deimos bounties.
They added them there precisely because they were difficult to obtain and basically mandatory for normal attack melee builds.
Blood Rush also can be obtained in Lua Spy missions
@Ladyvan Oh thx
@Ladyvan crap why is heat on a slash weapon bad? I have a tenet livia with innate heat and use my cycron to stack viral if needed at higher levels, it's served me just fine on sp survivals but I know you're a guru so educate me if I've messed up somewhere please
Heat just conflicts with Slash.
Both are damage over time effects. Heat additionally decreases enemy armor by 50%.
However, Slash just straight up ignores armor-
Lets take a lvl 150 Steel Path Heavy Gunner
~21817 armor = ~98.64% damage reduction.
Half of that is ~10909 armor = ~97.32% damage reduction.
Lets also assume you have a Primed Heated Charge modded for +165% Heat.
If the weapon has 1000 total base damage, the Heat proc would do:
1000*(0.5*2.65) = 1325, damage reduced by 97.32% = 36 damage per tick
A slash proc would do 350 damage per tick, almost 10 times as much.
So modding Heat on Slash weapons just makes them do significantly less damage against armored enemies. Which are what slash based weapons are most commonly used for.
Unarmored enemies have so little EHP, most people don't care about building for them.
Kuva/Tenet weapons are a special case because you are just forced to have an element. It is debatable whether the small chance for some extra damage Condition Overload gets from Heat is worth losing a small chance for Viral procs. But whatever element you take, your slash proc chance will suffer, so having Heat on there isn't that big of a deal.
Tenet Livia for example isn't really a slash weapon with a full 60% buff anymore, only having 56% Slash. However, having innate Toxin or Cold saves a mod slot and allows your slash percentage to remain as high as possible, if you only use a single elemental mod to get Viral.
If you use it for heavy attacks it has a 100% chance for slash anyway, and you'll want the highest possible Viral chance you can get, as you will only hit most enemies once.
If you prime enemies, it doesn't really matter at all. As you will always have an extra element on Tenet Weapons eating the slash percentage, if they have already been primed with Viral (and likely heat), whatever that element ends up being probably doesn't really matter.
@Ladyvan sweet, tracking, yeah I haven't modded for viral at all on my livia, and I took the heat option when it was sitting at 26%, so bearing in mind I use a "primer" for viral procs, and assuming my actually autistic ass has wrapped it's head around your maths correctly, I think I made the right choice, thank you, love your work!
@Bolt Alloy Get rid of redirection and use flow or more efficiency on Umbra....
Also rank up your mods on both and also life strike and gladiator rush...
What do you think?
