Veso, también conocido como Veso-R, es un técnico Corpus de primera clase presentado en la nueva guerra.

La nueva guerra[]
Veso is a Corpus Tech during the Consciente invasion of the Origin System. Serving under Alad V, Veso contacts him after Alad V asks for any remaining Techs aboard to narrow-band him at once. Alad V tasks him with breaking fire control from the fleet as his command overrides aren't working, getting Veso's name wrong and calling him "Veko" in the process. After correcting Alad's mistake, Veso heads to a trace conduit. Using his Data Pad, he breaks through the ship's wreckage using an explosive MOA Irruptor. He then encounters rogue MOAs that are under Consciente control and informs Alad that their grid has been breached. Alad says that he'll send some "meat-crews" to aid Veso, adding that he still needs the override while forgetting Veso's name again.
Fighting past more rogue robotics, he successfully hacks one of the override conduits using another MOA Irruptor. While heading to the next conduit, he encounters more of the ship that has been taken over by Consciente control. After breaking through more wreckage with the help of a Shield Drone and a Striker MOA, he is contacted again by Alad. Getting Veso's name wrong yet again, Alad is dismayed that "Teko" has not yet disengaged the fire control. Veso begins to question his orders and gets confused over Alad's repeated desire to disengage the fire control. Alad responds by saying that they're about to be under "new management" (in reference to the Consciente invasion), and threatens to replace Veso with a "more forward-thinking replacement" if he doesn't comply.
Veso continues through the ship, encountering Crewmen engaging the rogue Corpus robotics. After fighting past some of the robotics with them, his path is then blocked by a rogue Jackal, with Alad V questioning "Teso" his plan to fight it. After its destruction and Alad V congratulating "Viko", Veso engages the final override, allowing the nearest Consciente Murex to dock. During Alad V's following speech claiming to have negotiated an alliance with the Sentients, Veso realizes that Alad V intends to betray the Corpus Board of Directors and angrily reactivates the entire fleet's weapons, ordering the Corpus to "Take [their] shot. For Profit." The ship fires into the heart of the Murex, destroying it as the resulting shockwave causes the Corpus Ship to break apart, killing Veso.[2]

Jugabilidad[]
Veso es un personaje jugable durante la nueva guerra.
- Tiene 300 de salud y 150 de escudo.
- Está armado con la
Plinx y Prova. - Usando un datapad Corpus, Veso tiene tres "habilidades" que le permiten interactuar con dispensadores robóticos y ordenarles que se muevan.
- Su primera habilidad invoca un MOA Irruptor. Puede interactuar con terminales y atravesar zonas a las que Veso no puede llegar, como pequeños huecos o vigas de seguridad. Si disparas al MOA Irruptor, este explotará y despejará los escombros.
- Su segunda habilidad invoca un Drone Protector que recarga los escudos de Veso y sus aliados, lo que también permite al MOA Irruptor atravesar campos electrificados.
- Su tercera habilidad invoca un MOA Artillero para producir un MOA de combate aliado.
- Puede agacharse y rodar, pero no puede deslizarse, hacer el doble salto ni el salto bala.
- Usando dispensadores robóticos cercanos, puede invocar MOAs Irruptores con su primera "habilidad". Usando el botón de habilidad y apuntando a una superficie, se puede ordenar al MOA que se mueva y cumpla objetivos. Disparar al MOA Irruptor causará que explote y limpie los escombros.
Curiosidades[]
- Veso fue presentado por primera vez en el tráiler de La nueva guerra en la TennoCon 2021, donde el enfrentamiento final fue contra un Bursa bloqueandole el paso. El encuentro con el Bursa no apareció en el juego.
- Veso tiene marcas en su casco, similares a las de las unidades Técnico Corpus Eximus y El Sargento.
- Un chiste frecuente relacionado con Veso hace que otros personajes pronuncien su nombre de forma incorrecta. Alad V se refiere a Veso con cuatro nombres distintos, y ni una sola vez acierta. Olvar D idolatra a Veso por su sacrificio, pero también pronuncia mal el nombre de su héroe.
